POUR-OVER BREW METHOD
- Measure and grind 21 grams of beans
- Put your filter into your pour-over and rinse with hot water until it is completely saturated, this will eliminate the paper flavour. Pre-heat your mug and discard all rinse water.
- Put your ground coffee into the filter
- Start your timer when you start to pour hot water (94°C) pour just enough water to cover and saturate the grounds. Let it sit for about 30 seconds, during this time the coffee will expand and degas. This process is called the ‘bloom’
- Try to pour water in a slow, even circular motion, adding water every 10-15 seconds for an even extraction. You want the coffee fully immersed in water but no more than a couple of mm above your grounds. If you are using a scale, pour until you reach 360 grams. Ideally, the total brew time (including bloom) should be around 4 minutes
- Serve and enjoy
